Investigators say 17-year-old Kamarion Moody from Indianapolis, 17-year-old Jeremy Perez from Indianapolis and 18-year-old Tyreontay Jackson from Indianapolis were arrested in Indianapolis on Tuesday evening December 2020 murder of Freddie Hegwood. A second victim was injured in the shooting.
A fourth suspect, 16-year-old Michigan City’s Antonio Lane, had previously been arrested. His trial is currently scheduled for August.
Moody, Perez and Lane are charged as adults in the case. They first appeared in court on Wednesday and are being detained in the Hendricks County Jail without being bonded.
All four are charged with murder, attempted murder, and criminal ruthlessness.
Hegwood and the other victim were in a vehicle at Block 10200 on Haag Road on December 20, 2020 when shots were fired from another vehicle. The neighbour’s house surveillance video provided investigators with images of a suspicious vehicle.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the United States Marshals helped with the arrests on Tuesday.
