LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ind. (WISH) – A Swayzee woman was killed in a single vehicle accident in Howard County Tuesday afternoon, according to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office.

After reports of a crash, MPs and paramedics were called to the intersection of 100 North and 800 East in Liberty Township at around 12:40 p.m. That’s east of Kokomo and north of Greentown.

When they got to the scene, they found that a black 2011 GMC SUV had hit a power pole and rolled over several times. The driver of the SUV, Stacy Hall, 56, from Swayzee, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hall drove west before their vehicle left the north road for some unknown reason, authorities said.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
