Spring begins in downtown Evansville with an enormous avenue sale
DOWNTOWN EVANSVILLE – Economic Improvement District has a full calendar of events encouraging shoppers to visit downtown shops and restaurants. The first fun event of the spring season is the huge sidewalk sale on Saturday, May 8th, 2021.
Of course, downtown stores will be displaying their wares, but this sale also gives downtown Evansville residents a chance to sell their items. The sale takes place along Main Street between 2nd and 5th streets.
“We expanded the event this year and invited community members across town to sell their handcrafted items and items from sellers. The response was mostly positive. We love to welcome 70+ attendees selling everything from handcrafted cutting boards to flowers and clothing. “ – Josh Armstrong, President of DOWNTOWN EVANSVILLE – Economic Improvement District
The sidewalk sale lasts five hours. 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. After you’ve done your spring shopping, you’ll definitely want to eat and drink at one of our fantastic downtown restaurants. There’s even a brand new one that my colleagues rave about. It’s called Enya Restaurant and it offers authentic Latin American food. You can find it in 920 S. Main.
