Salamonie Lake hosts the Summer season Day Camp and Household In a single day program in June
INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) – The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced that Salamonie Lake is holding a summer camp and family overnight program for children ages seven to 12 from June 17-18.
Participants take part in forest discoveries, hikes, live animals, crafts, games, water fun, canoeing and evening activities for camping families. Camping families are asked to bring their own tents and camping equipment.
Campers must bring lunch every day, the DNR said. A small snack will be provided.
- June 17th: The campers meet from 1.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. for the day camp. Activities for a Sound Bite program will continue from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- June 18: The campers meet from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Day camp costs USD 50 per child or USD 30 for a day on both days. Additional siblings per family receive a $ 5 discount.

The DNR said the details of the camp could change due to Indiana’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
