Recruiting Pocket book: Official visits to Bloomington – Contained in the Corridor start quickly
Indiana already has two commitments in the 2020 class but still has several board goals to build a four-person recruiting class.
And with the fall semester on the horizon, the Hoosiers will soon offer prospects for official visits.
Fast-rising striker Jordan Geronimo will be on campus the weekend of August 30th and five-star security guard Caleb Love will be in Bloomington two weeks later.
On both weekends, the IU coaching staff should be able to present the school and campus well. Geronimo’s visit falls the first weekend after classes start for the fall semester, and Love’s weekend will be the weekend of the IU-Ohio State football game at Memorial Stadium.
Geronimo is not classified in the 247Composite, but is number 109 in the country in the 247Sports ranking and is considered a four-star prospect. He played for Mass Rivals on the adidas Gauntlet circuit, which is the same program that spawned former IU striker Noah Vonleh.
The 6-foot-6 wing also has official visits scheduled for Georgia (September 20) and Boston College (September 27). Penn State is another Geronimo related school and is expected to attend State College unofficially.
Love announced his official visit schedule over the weekend and he will see five of his six finalists.
The first for love attending Christian Brothers College in St. Louis will be Missouri on September 7th.
The Indiana visit will be the following weekend and the Five Star Guard will travel to North Carolina (September 20-22), Louisville (September 27-29), and Kansas (October 12-13). Arizona is the other school in Love’s finalists, which he announced on August 2nd.
Notre Dame is committed to the state from 2021
JR Konieczny, who made an unofficial visit to Bloomington in June, got involved with Notre Dame over the weekend.
The 6-foot-6 forward is ranked the No. 129 prospectus in the 2021 class by 247Sports.
Konieczny had scholarship offers from Butler, Bradley, Creighton, and Iowa. He plays at St. Joseph’s in South Bend and for Indiana Elite at the adidas Gauntlet circuit.
So far, Indiana’s main focus in the 2021 class has been the four best prospects in the state: Khristian Lander, Caleb Furst, Trey Kaufman, and Blake Wesley.
All four have scholarship offers from the Hoosiers.
