Rain and storm possibilities this weekend – WISH-TV | Indianapolis Information | Indiana climate
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A mixture of sun and clouds with occasional showers and occasional storms was the story across much of the state to complete the work week. We’ll turn to more rain and storm probabilities for the coming weekend.
Friday night: A Frost Advisory will be in effect tonight from 3am to 10am on Saturday morning overnight. You should bring the plants indoors and / or cover them.
Showers and isolated storms continue on our Friday evening.
Prepare for another cool night as the lows fall in the mid to high 30s.
Saturday: We’ll have a cool but bright start to our Saturday. The temperatures are gradually warming up and the cloud cover is also increasing. Spotty showers begin to develop late on Saturday, with heavier rain well into the night.
Highs will peak in the low 60s.
Mother’s Day: If you have outdoor plans for Mother’s Day on Sunday, it’s best to have these indoors as we expect a humid day with showers on and off and storms. Isolated flooding can become a problem.
Hochs will have trouble getting out of the 50s, mostly for the northern half of the state. The southern half of the state appears to be advancing into the 1960s.
8-day forecast: After a wet Sunday, we will move on to a dry start to the new working week for the coming Monday with partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures. A nice gradual warming trend will then come into the picture. This warm up will come with additional rain chances for next Wednesday and Thursday before we head back to the 70s.
