Nearly document heat for the approaching Tuesday – WISH-TV | Indianapolis Information | Indiana climate
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – We had a fabulous start to the work week with warm air, windy winds and bright skies.
Monday night: A very nice evening is ahead, especially when the sky is clear. It will be a mild night with lows plummeting into the upper 50s to the lower 60s.
Tuesday: Tuesday is our warmest day of the year. Windy winds from the south and lots of sunshine add to a summer day. Highs will rise in the low to mid 80s. Indianapolis record high for April 27 is 84 °.
Wednesday: Active weather will return for our Wednesday as we will work in showers and storms. Keep your rain gear ready all day.
The majority of the state has the possibility of isolated strong to severe storms. The main threat is isolated large hail.
The highs remain on the mild side as we will hit the top in the mid to late 1970s.
8-day forecast: The showers will last until Thursday, with occasional heavy rains to be expected. Temperatures will subside for the remainder of the working week with the dry season on Friday. We will quickly introduce a warming trend that starts on Saturday and moves into the new work week next week.
