Mayor Winnecke pronounces COVID-19 in Evansville [AUDIO]
As expected, COVID-19, also known as “the coronavirus”, entered the tri-state. According to the Indiana Department of Health, there are currently six reported cases in Vanderburgh County, three each in Warrick and Gibson counties, and one in Posey Counties. These numbers are expected to rise and likely to be between the time I wrote this post and the time you read it. One person who is closely monitoring the virus and its impact on the Evansville community is Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, who was kind enough to take time on Friday morning to stop by the studio and discuss how his administration is keeping up with the virus Virus, how hospitals are working to treat current and future cases, and what we can do to slow its spread.
