Man set on fireplace throughout quarrel; Indy Mann arrested – WISH-TV | Indianapolis Information | Indiana climate
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – An Indianapolis man is behind bars after setting another man on fire during an argument.
According to the Columbus Police Department, officers were called to an apartment on the 1500 block of Chestnut Street at around 3:45 a.m. Monday.
Police arrived at the scene and found a man who was burned to a significant part of his body.
CPD said 39-year-old Ralph Shaw threw gasoline on him and set him on fire during an argument with an injured man.
The injured man was taken to the IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
On Monday afternoon, officials found Shaw arrested and taken to Bartholomew County Jail.
Shaw is facing a preliminary charge of a difficult battery. He was also wanted on two Marion County arrest warrants.
