Mads Mikkelsen: Indiana Jones 5 script ‘every little thing I needed’ | leisure
Mads Mikkelsen described the Indiana Jones 5 script as “everything I wanted”.
The 55-year-old actor will appear in an unknown role in the latest film in the action franchise. He was full of praise for the script and took the opportunity to see Steven Spielberg’s first film in the series ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’.
When asked about his reaction to joining the ‘Indiana Jones’ franchise, Mads said, “I’m very, very excited about it … I saw ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ again the other day, it’s that good done and so charming and so great to tell stories.
“So yeah, it’s a great honor to be part of this franchise that I grew up with … I’m in a fortunate position that they let me read the script beforehand. And yes, it was all I did I wished it was just great. “
Mads will star alongside Harrison Ford – who is repeating his role as a daredevil archaeologist for the fifth time – and “Fleabag” star Phoebe Waller-Bridge in the new flick in which James Mangold Spielberg takes over behind the camera and implies that he is something Could have fun with his character.
The ‘Another Round’ star said to Collider, “I think I’m invited to create a character, I think everyone wants it. That’s why the actors choose who they think will come up with certain things can, and it will be a collaboration as always.
“Interestingly enough, a bit like ‘Riders of Justice’ again, there’s always some kind of genre mix in ‘Indiana Jones’. There’s something that’s a bit larger than life, almost into the 30’s with a Peter Lorre sort of feel , and then you have Indiana Jones, who is kind of a straight man.
“But he does a lot of fun and interesting things, but some of these films have different genres of character.”
