Lively climate sample forward – WISH-TV | Indianapolis Information | Indiana climate
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – It was pretty hot for us to start the last full week of May! We track another hot afternoon for Tuesday before turning to multiple rain and storm probabilities.
Monday night: Our state will face a mild night with mostly cloudy skies. The lows will bottom out in the mid to late 1960s.
Tuesday: Another hot day is expected as we will pick up the winds in the afternoon hours. The cloud cover will increase on Tuesday evening before our next chance of rain. The highs will rise through the middle to the upper 80s.
Wednesday: Showers and storms will develop early Wednesday and last all day in front of a cold front.
In fact, there is a chance that a good portion of the northern half of Indiana could experience the occasional strong to severe storm, with occasional noxious winds and hail as the main threats.
The highs will be a little cooler as we will hit the top in the low 80s.
8-day forecast: The active weather pattern continues for the rest of the working week. We will also assume a gradual cooling trend with Friday and Saturday highs falling into the low 70s. If you head to Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend, we’ll be drying out in time for race day on Sunday as soon as the rain subsides on Friday. Indy 500 race day seems fantastic, with lots of sunshine and highs in the mid ’70s.
