Indiana Stories 9 Extra COVID-19 Deaths, 754 Optimistic Instances | Indiana Information
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Nine more people in Indiana have died from COVID-19, Indiana health officials said Sunday.
The Indiana Department of Health reported 754 new cases on Sunday. A total of 13,063 people with more than 730,000 infections have died from coronavirus disease in the state. State health officials reported that an additional 417 likely deaths from clinical diagnoses were reported in patients who did not test positive.
The number of positive cases has decreased in recent weeks, and state officials say nearly 40% of the eligible population have been fully vaccinated.
At least two Indiana counties lifted local mask mandates after federal health officials simplified instructions on how to wear masks for those fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
