Indiana Dunes gathers concepts from guests for brand spanking new companies

CHESTERTON, Ind. (AP) – Dunes National Park officials want to hear from visitors as they develop a strategy to add services in the park, ranging from or drink sales to organized tours.

Two open days are scheduled for Thursday and Friday in the national park in northwest Indiana.

In a statement, officials said they are working on a commercial services strategy in the park.

The open days are intended to learn from visitors about their experiences with the park and to gather ideas about what people would like to see in the future.

Possible additions could include grocery and beverage vendors, bike or non-motorized boat rentals, horse riding, fitness classes, and guided tours. Officials said they are also open to suggestions from the public.

An online comment period is also planned, but details have not yet been released.
