Indiana doesn’t prioritize pregnant girls for the COVID vaccine

Ind. (WNDU) – Eight states are not following the CDC’s recommendation to give pregnant women priority over the general population for the , and is one of them.

Doctors say that all pregnant women are at greater risk of complications when exposed to the and that they should be vaccinated as soon as they are eligible, regardless of how advanced they are in their pregnancy.

While other states are pushing plans to include pregnant women on their lists, Pfizer launched a clinical trial to fill in the lack of data on pregnancy and vaccines.
