ELKHART, Ind. (Inside Business) – An Elkhart-based nonprofit is expanding into a larger facility thanks to a $ 4.5 million capital campaign. RETA Pregnancy Clinic & Family Resources says it has outgrown its current four story location and says the new facility will provide more services to expectant mothers and families.

RETA is a faith-based non-profit that provides free pregnancy tests, first trimester ultrasounds, STD tests and treatments, pregnancy loss assistance, and parenting coaching, among other things. The nonprofit acquired the former Martin’s Pet & Garden building in Elkhart and plans to use $ 3.4 million of the campaign funds to renovate the facility.

“This new facility will allow our existing services to reach their full potential, reach new customers and meet future expansion goals,” the company says. “With a quarter of women unable to get medical or prenatal care for women because of finances or insurance, that is more than 11,000 women in this community, our new facility will provide the space to begin GYN services and eventually OB services these women see our medical side throughout pregnancy. “

According to the RETA website, the campaign is currently less than $ 200,000 below its target of $ 4.5 million.
