Bloomington man arrested for tried homicide in knife stabbing – WISH-TV | Indianapolis Information | Indiana climate

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – say a Bloomington man was arrested for attempted murder.

Bloomington have arrested Ian Thorpe, 24.

On July 29, just after 1:00 a.m., officials were called to the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel in the 1700 block of North Walnut Street about a disturbance.

According to police, a man walked through the hotel covered in blood while a woman asked for help at the hotel.

Upon arrival at the scene, the victim was identified as a 27-year-old man from Ellettsville, Indiana. said he was stabbed in the left arm and chest.

In addition, police said the physical altercation between Thorpe and the victim actually took place in the hotel parking lot.

At some point during the fight, Thorpe stabbed the victim several times.

When investigating the crime scene, police said a blue Ford Escape attempted to drive through the crime scene. The officers were able to stop the vehicle where Thorpe was lying in the back seat of the SUV and was taken into custody.

Thorpe was taken to the Monroe County Jail where he is charged with attempted murder.
